Volvo Car USA revealed its 2026 fully electric lineup, featuring significant upgrades to the EX90 plus new EX30 variants for U.S. buyers.

2026 Volvo EX90 Upgrades

New electrical architecture: An 800-volt system enables much faster charging, delivering up to 155 miles of range in 10 minutes at compatible high-voltage chargers.
Stronger compute and safety: Every EX90 is fitted with an upgraded NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin-based core computer delivering 500 TOPS of compute, enabling advanced safety and driver-assist functions. New capabilities include connected slippery-road and hazard alerts, expanded automatic emergency steering in darkness, and Emergency Stop Assist with automatic e-call that can bring the vehicle to a controlled stop and contact emergency services if the driver is unresponsive. The same compute upgrade will be delivered at no charge to 2025 EX90 owners in the coming months.
Powertrain and performance: A new EX90 Single Motor joins the lineup, while Twin Motor and Twin Motor Performance variants receive power increases. The EX90 Twin Motor Performance now produces 670 hp, making it the most powerful Volvo car to date.
Luxury and comfort options: New available features include an electrochromic panoramic roof with adjustable tint and ventilated Nappa leather upholstery in three colors: Cardamom, Dawn, and Charcoal.

New entry-level variant: The EX30 Single Motor is now offered in the U.S. at the Plus equipment level with a starting MSRP of $38,950, expanding choice and accessibility.
Efficiency and charging: EPA-estimated range reaches up to 261 miles, and charging from 10 to 80 percent takes roughly 28 minutes, delivering practical daily performance.
Sustainability focus: The EX30 is Volvo’s smallest SUV and emphasizes a reduced lifecycle carbon footprint, using recycled and renewable materials throughout its interior.
Accolades: The EX30 has earned multiple design and innovation awards, including Popular Science Best of What’s New, World Urban Car of the Year, and Red Dot Best of the Best Product Design.

2026 Volvo EX30 Cross Country Variant

Off-road ready: The fully electric EX30 Cross Country brings higher ground clearance, standard all-wheel drive, and available 18-inch all-terrain accessory tires so it can transition from city streets to trails and snowy roads.
Charging performance: Battery charging from 10 to 80 percent can take as little as 27 minutes.
Design cues: Rugged visual details include skid plates, extended wheel arches, and a dark front shield featuring an artistic map of Sweden’s Kebnekaise mountain range.
Availability and pricing: Offered exclusively as the Twin Motor Ultra model with a starting MSRP of $48,150.

2026 Volvo EX40 Black Edition Styling

New styling option: The Black Edition is now available for the EX40, marking the first fully electric Volvo in the U.S. to receive this treatment.
Color and contrast choices: Offered in Onyx Black, Crystal White, Vapour Grey, and Denim Blue, the Black Edition can be configured for high-contrast or monochrome looks.
