Dongfeng and Nissan launch two electric pickups in ChinaNissan and Dongfeng's joint venture in China dubbed Zhengzhou Nissan has announced two all-electric pickups for the local market. The first one is the Dongfeng Rich 6 EV a.k.a. Ruijing 6 which is based on the Nissan Navara platform that has been adapted for the electric powertrain. The vehicle is produced in the plant which makes the Navara for the local market. It resembles the Navara a lot as well as its derivatives - the Mercedes X-Class and the Renault Alaskan. The only differences on the outside are the blue decorative accents and the closed grill. Dongfeng Rich 6 EV a.k.a. Ruijing 6 is equipped with a 160 hp (120 kW) motor with 420 Nm of torque. A 67.9 kWh battery keeps the lights on and is good for 403 km (250 miles) according to the NEDC. The real range should be 300 km tops. The pickup has a top speed limit of 110 km/h (68 mph) and a clearance of 180 mm. The Rich 6 EV is 5,290 mm long, 1,850 mm wide, and 1,790 mm high. Its wheelbase measures 3,150 mm.

The second model is the Dongfeng Rich EV which is like a downgraded version of the previous model. It has a 62.7 kWh battery and a 116 hp (85 kW) motor with 290 Nm of torque. The NEDC range is set at 305 km and the top speed is 100 km/h. The clearance is 185 mm. The vehicle's dimensions are as follows: 5,095 mm length, 1,820 mm width, 1,675 mm height.
