BMW iX1 and BMW iX2 with increased range, BMW iX3 with new colors and charging option

BMW is preparing a round of updates for its electric lineup in spring 2026, introducing new drive technology and expanded equipment options across several models. The BMW iX1 and iX2 will both benefit from upgraded power electronics designed to reduce energy consumption and extend driving range. At the same time, the BMW iX3 will have new colors and charging options.

As of spring 2026, the BMW iX1 eDrive20 (16.1 kWh/100 km) and the BMW iX1 xDrive30 (17.2 kWh/100 km) will adopt silicon‑carbide semiconductor components in their power electronics, a change that boosts efficiency and adds roughly 40 km of additional WLTP range, bringing the figures to up to 514 km and 466 km, respectively. The same technology will be integrated into the BMW iX2 eDrive20 (15.7 kWh/100 km) and the BMW iX2 xDrive30 (16.7 kWh/100 km), delivering similar improvements and raising their WLTP ranges to as much as 512 km and 477 km, respectively.

BMW is also enhancing the BMW iX3 50 xDrive (17.9 kWh/100 km and 678–805 km electric range) with an optional AC Charging Professional package. This upgrade enables AC charging at up to 22 kW and introduces a Vehicle‑to‑Load function, allowing the SUV to power external devices with up to 3.7 kW. Alongside the technical improvements, the iX3 will gain three new exterior colors - Eucalyptus Green metallic, BMW Individual Frozen Space Silver metallic, and Fire Red metallic. Interior updates include a BMW Individual steering wheel in Digital White when paired with the Contemporary Digital White Bicolour cabin, as well as a stainless steel loading sill added to Contemporary, M, and BMW Individual interior designs. Models equipped with the M Sport Package or M Sport Package Pro will also receive a vehicle key featuring M stripes.

From February 2026, the bonnets of all BMW models will feature the new BMW emblem. This will coincide with the changeover to the new M logo.
