Apple in talks with BYD and CATL for EV battery suppliedReuters reported that according to "four people with knowledge of the matter", Aplpe is in talks with CATL and BYD for supplying batteries for a future electric vehicle. These talks are in a very early stage and it remains largely uncertain whether any agreements will be reached. One of Apple's main condition is the future battery suppliers to create battery manufacturing facilities in the USA, according to two of the sources. This has been confirmed by a senior official in US President Joe Biden's administration. None of the companies commented on the matter.Source
