The Durant Guild announces the Cadillac CELESTIQ in China

The Durant Guild today hosted the China debut of the Cadillac CELESTIQ at the China International Import Expo 2022 (CIIE) in Shanghai. The ultra-luxury sedan has been announced to become the first member of the curated iconic portfolio of The Durant Guild.

The Durant Guild was launched in September as a dedicated digital community to meet the needs of local consumers for a more diverse range of vehicles to suit their increasingly diverse lifestyles. A curated portfolio of models in niche segments will be rolled out, ranging from full-size SUVs and pickup trucks to performance cars and ultra-luxury vehicles.

The CELESTIQ, the most technologically advanced Cadillac ever, is appearing at CIIE following its global debut in the U.S. in October. Leveraging the Ultium platform, the world’s first all-electric ultra-luxury sedan will utilize innovative technology in the service of personalized, handcrafted artistry.

Each unit built will be personally commissioned – no two will be alike. In China, clients will work directly with The Durant Guild’s brand ambassadors to realize their unique vision for their car, with unprecedented levels of personalization tailored to reflect the owner’s tastes.

The CELESTIQ is the manifestation of Cadillac’s Art of Travel design philosophy, which considers the entire encounter with the vehicle, from its visual presence to the rich feel of its components, and the choreographed experiences in which curated “sense of occasion” features transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. This bespoke approach to every experience an owner has with their car will make common elements feel distinctly personal.

Appearing alongside the CELESTIQ on The Durant Guild’s stand at CIIE are two other lifestyle-amplifying products: the GMC HUMMER EV SUV and Chevrolet Corvette Z06.

Making its maiden appearance in China at CIIE, the HUMMER EV SUV combines off-road adventure with zero emissions. Through its exclusive Watts to Freedom launch mode, it can achieve supercar-like 0-96 km/h acceleration in just 3.5 seconds. Its unique CrabWalk diagonal-drive functionality and one-of-a-kind Extract Mode make it a master of all terrains.

Representing The Durant Guild’s racing DNA, the Corvette Z06 is a new American supercar that is captivating those with a thirst for speed around the world. It has been designed and engineered as a precision tool for the track. A new 5.5L LT6 engine – the highest-horsepower naturally aspirated V-8 to hit the market – generates a lofty 8,600 rpm and 670 hp.

The Durant Studio at CIIE is offering visitors an introduction to the platform’s origin and history. It is showcasing The Durant Guild’s fearless spirit and business model, which were inspired by GM founder William Durant. The 850-square-meter stand adopts elements of the legendary Factory One in Flint, Michigan.

CIIE runs from November 5-10. The Durant Guild stand is located in Hall 2.1 of the National Convention & Exhibition Center in Shanghai.
