Model 3 made in the Tesla Gigafactory in Shanghai will roll off the production line by the end of 2019We've reported via various Asian media that Tesla's been recruiting employees for its Gigafactory 3 in Shanghai. This has just been confirmed by Twitter user Vincent who regularly shares up-to-date information about Tesla's affairs in China. According to him, Tesla held a high-level meeting in Shanghai to discuss the development and operation of Tesla in China. Tesla's global VP Tao Lin said that Model 3 will be globally supplied specifying that the "the supply chain is constantly being optimized and will find suitable partners on a global scale to upgrade the Shanghai plant effectiveness." The construction of the plant is faster than expected and the first Model 3 units will roll off the production line at the end of 2019. Tao Lin also confirmed the Tesla Shanghai Gigafactory factory team is now formed but is still expanding.Source
