LG Chem is supplying NCM712 batteries to Volkswagen for the ID.4 and Renault for the ZOELG Chem is starting the production of new anode materials that will increase the range of EVs. These are found in the NCM711 batteries and according to "people familiar with the matter" who spole to The Elec on Monday, LG Chem's factory in Polan has already begun supplying Volkswagen for the ID.4 and Renault for the ZOE with such batteries. It is expected that the NCM712 batteries will replace the NCM622 ones in LG Chem's portfolio in the next couple of years. Since the second half of 2019, LG Chem has been supplying Tesla for the Model 3 with NCM811 batteries made in its Nanjing facility. LG is also expected to begin production of NCMA (nickel, cobalt, manganese, and aluminum) anode materials that will be supplied to General Motors for their pick-up trucks next year.Source
