Online reservations for the Lexus RZ 450e in Germany are open
3 May 2022, 09:03:29

The RZ 450e is the first Lexus electric vehicle to be based on a platform designed exclusively for electric drive. The crossover SUV fully exploits the potential of new technologies to increase performance and driving pleasure in equal measure in line with the "Lexus Driving Signature".
The total output of the two electric motors in the data center is 230 kW / 313 hp. The vehicle has a lithium-ion battery with 96 cells and a capacity of 71.4 kW. Details of range and charging times will be announced at a later date. Lexus expects the data center to travel more than 400 kilometers per battery charge in the combined WLTP cycle (combined power consumption: 18.1 kWh/100 km, CO2-Emissions combined: 0 g/km, electric range (EAER): 400 km. Values according to WLTP test procedure. The vehicle has not yet been finally homologated, the final consumption values are expected at the expected start of sales at the end of the year).
The "One Motion Grip" steer-by-wire system is one of the most important technical innovations in the Lexus RZ and provides the driver with a completely new dynamic driving experience. Instead of a mechanical connection, the driver's input from the new One Motion Grip-Steer by wire steering wheel is sent to the wheels via an electrical connection, which improves responsiveness, feedback and steering precision. Lower vibrations when driving on uneven roads, stable control and correction in strong crosswinds are further advantages of the system.
