Detailed Volkswagen ID.4 price and specifications - range, battery capacity, efficiency, electric motor, dimensionsVolkswagen has announced the ID.4 a few days ago and has already started accepting pre-orders for the first model to be market-available - the ID.4 first. In fact, there are three trims of the model, so here are their details specifications and prices.

Volkswagen ID.4 1st Max / ID.4 Pro Performance 1st Max

The Volkswagen ID.4 1st Max is also known as ID.4 Pro Performance 1st Max. In Germany, this vehicle costs EUR 58,439 prior to the available state discounts. The SUV is available in four colors - Blue Dusk Metallic, Gletcherwhite Metallic, Honey Yellow Metallic, Mangangray Metallic. The seats are colored in a Platinum Grey - Florence-Braun combo. The vehicle is 4584 mm long, 1852 mm wide, 1631 mm high. The wheelbase measures 1631 mm and the drag coefficient is 0.28. The luggage volume varies from 543 l to 1575 l with the rear seats folded down.

The Volkswagen ID.4 uses the same Volkswagen-made electric motor used on the Volkswagen ID.3 - the "APP 310" - a brushless DC electric motor, mounted on the rear axle in the case of the ID.4 Pro Performance 1st Max. It has a 150 kW power output and offers 310 Nm of instant torque. The top speed is limited to 160 km/h and the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration is 8.5 seconds. The Volkswagen ID.4 1st Max has a turning circle of 10.2 meters It uses 8.5J 21" aluminum Narvik design rims and 230/45 R21 tyres for the front and 9J 21" aluminum Narvik design rims and 255/40 R21 tyres for the back.

The Volkswagen ID.4 1st Max packs an 82 kWh (gross) / 77 kWh (net) battery. The pack weighs 493 kg and uses NCM712 cells from LG Chem. It is good for a range of 487 km on the WLTP cycle. The model's efficiency is 16.2 kWh/100 km on the NEDC cycle and 18.5 kWh/100 km on the WLTP cycle. The energy efficiency class is A+. The battery can be charged to 80% of DC fast charging (125 kW) in 39 minutes. With AC charging, it takes 7 hours and 30 miuntes to charge the battery to 100%. The vehicles is equipped with an 11kW Type-2 CCS2 charging inlet.

Volkswagen ID.4 1st / ID.4 Pro Performance 1st

The Volkswagen ID.4 1st is also known as ID.4 Pro Performance 1st. In Germany, this vehicle costs EUR 48,691 prior to the available state discounts. It is almost entirely the same as the previous model. The WLPT range is specified as being 496 km and the WLTP efficiency is 18.2 kWh/100 km. In addition, this variant has as a standard 20" 8J Drammen design rims and 230/50 R20 tyres on the front plus 20" 9J Drammen design rims and 255/45 R20 tyres on the back. The non-Max ID.4 1st also arrives with a smaller display - 10-inch instead of a 12-inch one as well as a 2-zone climatronic, instrad of a 3-zone one. It also lacks a few other features available on the Max trim.

Volkswagen ID.4 Pro Performance

The Volkswagen ID.4 Pro Performance costs EUR 43,330 prior to the available state discounts. It is the most basic of all three trims available initially. The model uses the same battery and electric motor but offers a slightly longer range - 522 km on the WLTP cycle and better efficiency - 17.2 kWh/100 km on the WLTP cycle. It uses smaller rims and tyres - 19" 8J steel rims and 230/55 R19 tyres on the front plust 19" 9J steel rims and 255/50 R19 tyres on the back. In addition, it lacks a number of features available on the other two models.
