Aston Martin Rapide E will debut this weekend at the Fully Charged Live in the UKRapide E is Aston Martin's first all-electric model. It was announced in mid-April and today the company unveiled all the important specifications of the model. The car will have its public UK debut during the Fully Charged Live during this weekend (June 7-9), which will take place at the Silverstone Race Circuit, Northamptonshire.

Rapide E is equipped with an 800V battery with a 65kWh installed capacity using over 5600 lithium-ion 18650 format cylindrical cells. The pack has a carbon fibre and Kevlar casing. It should provide a WLTP range of over 322 km (200 mi). There are two rear-mounted electric motors with a power output of just over 450 kW (602 hp) and 950 Nm of torque (700 lb-ft). The vehicle sprints from zero to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and the 0-60 mph acceleration is just under 4 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).

Speaking ahead of the event, Aston Martin Vehicle Line Director John Caress said, "We showcased Rapide E for the first time in Shanghai and we proved what Rapide E can do on the track in Monaco. However, I am now incredibly pleased to be able to display Aston Martin's first all-electric model here in the UK for the first time this weekend at Fully Charged Live. This event not only highlights the level of interest in alternative technologies within the automotive industry, but also across a broader spectrum, and Rapide E embodies our interpretation of how a luxury sportscar can fit within that world. Electrification is key to Aston Martin Lagonda’s future and we look forward to showcasing the luxury brand’s first step in this direction."
