GAC New Energy unveils the all-electric Aion V SUV in ChinaThe "Next Generation Smart SUV" GAC Aion V was officially announced simultaneously in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Shenzhen. At the press conference, the general manager of Guangzhou Automobile New Energy Gu Huinan announced the price which starts from 159,600 yuan ($22,520) to 239,600 yuan ($33,810) after subsidy. The model is available in five versions. It feature key remote parking, GEP2.0 all-aluminum pure electric exclusive platform, ADiGO 3.0 autonomous driving, 4D sci-fi mecha modeling, intelligent health cockpit. The battery ensures up to 600 km of NEDC range.

At the same time, as the world's first 5G vehicle, GAC Aion V is equipped with China's first integrated 5G+C-V2X vehicle intelligent communication system independently developed by GAC New Energy, featuring Huawei's next-generation 5G vehicle module, and equipped with Baolong 5000 5G chip. The transmission speed exceeds 100 times that of 4G. This will accelerate the arrival of the era of the Internet of Vehicles and will bring unprecedented fresh car experience.

The GAC Aion V is the first to create the world's first intelligent health cockpit, using the world's first traditional Chinese medicine fragrance technology, remote one-click medical-grade filtration and germs killing, and solar fresh air purification system along with other health technologies. In order to meet the higher requirements of users for travel health and air quality in the car, the vehicle is equipped with a PM2.5 sensor, plasma purifier, remote one-button antivirus, AQS air A series of health technology equipment such as quality sensors and fragrance system.

Electric-adjustable seats, wireless charging of mobile phones, Bluetooth virtual keys for mobile terminals, rear USB interface, LED daytime running lights and 6-way adjustment of the main driver's seat are part of the model's features. The GAC Aion V has a permanent-magnet synchronous motor mounted on the front axle. It provides 130 kW power output and 300 Nm torque. Depending on the battery version, the model offers from 400 to 600 km of NEDC range.
