Honda's first BEV for Europe will be dubbed Honda eA couple of hours ago Honda UK confirmed on Twitter that the company's first battery electric vehicle for Europe will be dubbed Honda e. According to previous announcements, the new all-electric urban car will offer a clean exterior and minimalist lounge-like interior coupled with advanced technology. Some of the noteworthy design elements of the car include compact cameras that replace the traditional side mirrors, pop-out door handles, a customisable horizontal display with screens showing the rear-view images relayed from the Camera Mirror System integrated at either end of the dashboard, a digital rearview camera, etc.

The vehicle is based on a completely new EV-specific platform with a rear-wheel-drive, which combined with a relatively long wheelbase, wide track and short overhangs delivers dynamic driving characteristics. Created especially for the modern urban environment, this car will offer a range of 200 km (125 mi) and a battery that will charger to 80% in 30 minutes using fast charging. Official reservations will open in selected markets across Europe in early summer 2019.
