The fully-electric Volvo XC40 is teased again, will be based on the CMA platformA week ago, Volvo announced that it will unveil the fully electric XC40 SUV on October 16th. Today, the company teased the model again. If the former press-release was focused on the vehicle's safety features, the second one focuses on the design. It evolves around the "less is more" notion reminding everyone that when you take out the ICE proprietary parts, there's generous room for passengers and cargo, including a front trunk with 30 l capacity. Of course, the front grille is closed but Volve describes it as "unique". The more interesting information is that it "neatly packages the sensors for the new Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) sensor platform." Some of the personalization options for the exterior include eight exterior colours, including a Sage Green metallic option. The contrasting black roof comes as standard. Two new 19" and 20" wheels options will also be available. The all-electric C40 SUV is based on Volvo's Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) - the same one used by the Polestar 2. Further details will be unveiled in the coming weeks prior to making a full announcement on October 16th.
