AUDI E SUV concept goes official at the auto expo in Guangzhou

Audi's ambitious product initiative in China is set to continue at a rapid pace. Together with SAIC, Audi has established a new brand, AUDI, which is now presenting the AUDI E SUV concept as a preview of future developments. This near-production exterior model represents a progressive, large premium SUV that embodies the unmistakable identity of the AUDI brand. Introduced in November 2024, the AUDI brand is aimed at new customer segments in the intelligent electric vehicle market.

The AUDI E SUV concept combines Audi’s technological expertise with SAIC's innovations in China’s digital ecosystem. Built on the jointly developed Advanced Digitized Platform (ADP), the AUDI brand is launching models that complement the global Audi portfolio in China. The first of these, the E5 Sportback, was successfully introduced in September 2025. Measuring 5,057 mm in length, 2,042 mm in width, 1,786 mm in height, and featuring a wheelbase of 3,060 mm, the E SUV concept is positioned as a large all-electric premium SUV. It blends futuristic design with Audi’s signature driving dynamics, quattro traction, first-class travel comfort, and advanced digital connectivity. Two electric motors, one on each axle, deliver a combined output of 500 kW, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in about five seconds.

Equipped with the AUDI 360 Driving Assist System, the E SUV concept offers innovative driver assistance features tailored to Chinese traffic conditions and driving scenarios. These systems provide a safe and relaxed driving experience on highways, in dense urban traffic, and during assisted parking. The vehicle’s 109 kWh battery delivers a range of more than 700 kilometers under CLTC standards, while its 800-volt architecture allows for rapid charging, adding 320 kilometers of range in just ten minutes at a fast-charging station.

The design of the E SUV concept reflects the AUDI brand’s exclusive design language for China, expressed through a bold and prestigious SUV stance. Its monolithic and composed exterior features perfect proportions, short overhangs, and a precisely structured architecture that conveys dynamic energy even when stationary. Clean surfaces, wraparound lighting graphics, and sculpted wheel arches reinforce its distinctive character. The upright front, highlighted by digital Matrix LED headlights arranged vertically within a black wraparound loop, underscores the SUV’s confident presence. The production version of the E SUV concept is scheduled to premiere and launch in 2026 as the second model from the AUDI brand.
