2026 Lexus RZ delivers more power and a longer range

Lexus launches the 2026 RZ this month, offering more power, improved efficiency, longer range, and faster charging, while 2023–25 RZ owners gain new charging access and features designed to simplify EV ownership and driving.

Starting now, more than 25,000 additional NACS plugs on the Tesla Supercharger Network will be available to 2026 RZ owners, and 2026 RZs support Plug & Charge for one-step charging after a one-time enrollment through the Lexus app.

Beginning this month, owners of 2023–25 Lexus RZ models can get a complimentary SAE J3400 (NACS) adapter from Lexus dealers to access NACS chargers; 2023–25 drivers will still need a CCS-to-NACS adapter to use NACS plugs where required.

All Lexus BEVs with Lexus Interface multimedia and model year 2023 or newer can use Apple Maps EV Routing via Apple CarPlay, which uses real-time vehicle data to guide drivers to compatible chargers while accounting for battery status and elevation changes.

Every 2026 Lexus BEV includes adapters for backward compatibility with SAE J1772 and CCS chargers, and Lexus notes that using unauthorized charging accessories could void the vehicle warranty and affect performance and safety.

The 2026 RZ features a redesigned BEV system with higher motor output, a new high-capacity lithium-ion battery, improved eAxles with better inverter efficiency, and a water-cooling system, all of which increase acceleration, extend driving range, and reduce charging time.

Available drivetrain options span a range of outputs to match customer needs, including a 165 kW FWD model and AWD variants rated at 230 kW, 250 kW, 280 kW, and 300 kW, with the front and rear drive motors each capable of 167 kW in higher-output configurations.

A new RZ 550e F SPORT joins the lineup with higher-output front and rear motors and a maximum system output of 300 kW, plus Interactive Manual Drive, which synchronizes acceleration and deceleration with immersive sound for a sportier, more engaging driving feel.

Exterior updates include new exclusive colors, aerodynamic wheels, and front and rear spoilers, while the interior adds exclusive seats, aluminum pedals, refined noise reduction, a dimmable panoramic roof, Ultrasuede door trim, and Lexus's first Dynamic Shadowy Illumination multi-color ambient lighting.

Lexus emphasizes that Plug & Charge availability depends on network rollout and a 4G connection with an active Remote Connect trial or subscription, and that the Tesla Supercharger Network will be the first Plug & Charge-enabled network for Lexus BEVs starting with model year 2026.
