Renault Twingo E-Tech electric debuts on the Champs-Élysées

Renault unveiled the New Twingo E-Tech electric to the world at Le Défilé Renault-The Carwalk Renault on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, introducing a fresh, upbeat city car that blends playful design with modern electric capability and accessible pricing.

True to the spirit that first turned heads in 1992, the Twingo E-Tech electric keeps its chirpy personality and everyday practicality while stepping up to deliver the best electric driving experience in its segment and features typically found on larger cars.

Inside the colorful cabin, the OpenR Link horizontal dual display gives the Twingo a contemporary edge other city cars can’t match, pairing a 7-inch digital driver display with a 10-inch central touchscreen for an intuitive, tech-forward cockpit.

Higher-trim models come with OpenR Link Integrated Google built in, letting drivers use touch or voice to access familiar Google services, roughly 100 apps from Google Play depending on market, and an EV route planner in Google Maps that continuously optimizes routes for charging needs and station availability.

Renault didn’t stop at infotainment - the Twingo E-Tech electric is loaded with safety and convenience systems, including a safety and parking pack that brings hands-free parking to the segment and 12 sensors to simplify tight-city maneuvers.

With 24 driver assistance systems such as rear automatic emergency braking and occupant safe exit alert, the Twingo places safety near the top of its class while retaining the nimble feel shoppers expect from a city runabout.

Twingo's compact footprint hides a surprisingly roomy interior: a 2.49-meter wheelbase and bubble-like shape deliver class-leading rear space, and a clever sliding rear seat - standard even on the base model - gives back-seat passengers up to 160 mm of extra knee room.

Practicality extends to cargo capacity as well, with a boot that can hold up to 360 liters (305 sq.dm VDA), while full LED headlights, daytime running lights, a One Pedal driving function, and available 18-inch wheels round out a package aimed at urban drivers who want style and substance.

Built on the advanced AmpR Small platform with lightweight underpinnings that borrow engineering from Renault icons like the 4 and 5 and a rear axle adapted from the Captur, the New Twingo E-Tech electric promises agile on-road performance and efficient electric driving.

Playful, practical, and priced to appeal to everyday drivers, the Renault Twingo E-Tech electric is slated to reach markets in early 2026, offering a bright, modern option for city dwellers ready to go electric without sacrificing personality.
