Zetta - the first Russian all-electric vehicle will enter mass production by the end of the year

Russian news agency ТАСС announced that according to the country's Ministry of Industry and Trade, the first Russian all-electric vehicle dubbed Zetta will enter mass production by the end of 2020. In November 2019, it was estimated that the production will begin in the first quarter of 2020, however, the Covid-19 pandemic postponed those plans. The certification of the vehicle is 70% complete and should be all-done by the end of the year. The most unique feature of Zetta is its universal and highly energy-efficient electric motor. The car itself is a compact, three-door vehicle with a top speed of 120 km/h and its base version will cost around USD 6,000 / EUR 5,200. This base version will have a front-axle mounted asynchronous electric motor with 15 kW of power. The range will be around 120 km. The variant with maximum range should offer around 560 km on a single charge. The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that Zetta might as well be suitable for export. Source
