Genesis G80 Electrified is presented at Auto Shanghai 2021Genesis showcases a total of three electric vehicles to the Auto Shanghai 2021, including the recently-revealed Genesis X Concept, and EV-based Gran Turismo (GT) concepts. The third one is the Genesis G80 Electrified.

This vehicle is powered by two electric motors. Each has a 136 kW power output and 350 Nm of torque. This allows the G80 Electrified to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. The two motors power all four wheels in an AWD system including the company's new Disconnector Actuator System (DAS) that enables seamless switching between 2WD and AWD, depending on the conditions. These are also aided by the electronic control suspension (ECS) which uses information from the front camera and the navigation system to identify and prepare for bumps in the road.

The Genesis G80 Electrified offers around 500 km according to the NECD cycle and around 427 km according to South Korea's standard. The model supports 350 kW DC charging which allows the battery to charge from 10 to 80% in 22 minutes. In addition, the roof of the vehicle is covered with solar panels to generate electricity for auxiliary functions. The model also makes it possible to use electric appliances outside the vehicle conveniently with V2L (Vehicle to Load) feature.

Some of Genesis G80 Electrified's noteworthy design features include its aerodynamic crest grille and its signature two-line headlamps. Exclusive G-Matrix pattern is applied to the front grille, giving a distinct look as Genesis EV model and the charging door is also located at the grille's right-upper area, which is invisible when closed. The turbine-shaped 19-inch wheels maximize aerodynamic performance and the Matira Blue color inspired by nature creates the Genesis' exclusive new electric vehicle experiences.

Inspired by the Beauty of White Space, the Electrified G80's interior, harmonized with new Dark Green Two-tone color features a visual comfort that fits the quiet driving of EV. It sets a new standard for sustainability with recycled materials such as leather with natural dye for seat and eco-friendly forged wood garnish which is made with recycled pieces of wood from the furniture manufacturing process.

In order to ensure a comfortable driving experience, Genesis equipped the vehicle with active noise control feature (ANC-R) that includes six microphones and four sensors inside the vehicle to effectively noise-cancel the outside environment.
