Porsche Macan GTS offers track-ready performance and a 586-km range

21 October 2025, 20:09:49

Porsche Macan GTS offers track-ready performance and a 586-km rangePorsche has unveiled the all-electric Macan GTS, the performance-focused addition to its Macan Electric lineup that leans into sharper handling and sports-car acceleration while keeping the SUV’s everyday usability. The GTS pairs a potent rear-axle motor with a front motor in a rear-biased layout, producing 380 kW in normal operation and up to 420 kW of overboost with Launch Control, delivering a sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 155 mph. Engineers built the rear motor around a 900-amp silicon carbide inverter and a transmission geared to withstand high torque, giving the GTS a peak torque figure that moves the car with unmistakable urgency while Porsche’s electronically controlled rear differential lock and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus sharpen turn-in and cornering balance. Sports air suspension with model-specific tuning lowers the ride by 10 millimeters, and Porsche Active Suspension Management is standard, with optional rear-axle steering available to further refine agility.

Porsche positions the Macan GTS as a track-capable EV for owners who expect sustained performance. A standard Sport Chrono Package includes a Taycan-like track mode that steps up battery cooling to reduce thermal derating under extended high-load driving, and Porsche says the 100 kWh battery supports fast charging at up to 270 kW, taking the pack from 10 to 80 percent in about 21 minutes. Porsche also cites a combined WLTP range of up to 586 kilometers, roughly 365 miles, depending on configuration and conditions.

The GTS exterior leans into darker, more aggressive styling with tinted Matrix LED headlights, widened side skirts, a pronounced diffuser and black contrast elements across the front, sides and rear. The model comes standard on 21-inch Macan Design wheels with 22-inch RS Spyder-style wheels offered as an upgrade, and Porsche is adding three new paint options alongside its extensive Paint to Sample program for bespoke finishes.

Inside, Porsche emphasizes a driver-focused cabin trimmed in Race-Tex and leather, with adaptive 18-way sports seats and an optional GTS Interior Package that color-matches upholstery, stitching and seat belts to the exterior. Carbon-fiber trim and GTS branding appear in the digital cockpit, and the center display reflects the car’s exterior color in its 3D vehicle visualization. Standard Sport Chrono features like lap timing and telemetry are integrated into the infotainment for owners who plan to push the car on track.

The Macan GTS also receives the latest suite of assistance and comfort features from the Macan range, including Porsche Digital Key, enhanced parking assistance, AI-supported voice controls, expanded in-car gaming and an increased towing capacity up to 2,500 kilograms. Porsche presents the GTS as the most dynamic, driver-oriented Macan Electric to date, blending high-performance hardware with the brand’s familiar focus on driving engagement.
