Maruti Suzuki eVX debuts at Auto Expo 2023 in India with 550 km of range

Maruti Suzuki eVX was presented at Auto Expo 2023 in India. The all-electric SUV is based on the Suzuki 27PL platform, which is a modified version of Toyota's 40PL global platform. The vehicle is 4300 mm long, 1800 mm wide, and 1600 mm tall. Its 60 kWh battery pack ensures 550 km of range at one charge. Suzuki said later on there will be a 48 kWh battery variant with up to 400 km of range. The company will use the LFP Blade batteries from BYD. The model's power output should be around 128-170 hp. A two-wheel and an all-wheel variant will be available and will be manufactured in Suzuki's plant in Gujarat. Half of the production will be meant for overseas markets. The market launch is planned for early 2025. This announcement was accompanied by the information that Maruti Suzuki has received an INR 100 billion investment from Suzuki Motor Corporation for the production of BEVs and EV batteries in India.
