Porsche Taycan will be unveiled on September 4thPorsche Taycan will debut as a production vehicle on September 4th at 3 PM CEST. The company will host three simultaneous events - Germany, Canada, and China. There's a fair amount of data about the vehicle and we have managed to gather it in our listing for the preliminary 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo specifications. Here are a few highlights.

The base Taycan will have a single, rear-mounted electric motor with a power of 240 kW or 280 kW and an 80 kWh battery pack. The mid-level trim is expected to have dual motors in an all-wheel-drive configuration with a system power output of 320 kW or 360 kW. The battery pack will have a 96 kWh capacity. The top trim - the Turbo one, has the same battery pack and an AWD system with dual motors - a 160 kW unit on the front and a 300 kW motor on the rear. The vehicle's curb weight will be around 2095 kg. The top speed is 360 km/h and the 0-100 lm/h acceleration is in mere 3.2 seconds (for the Turbo version). The range is said to be around 515 km (WLTP). The battery cells are supplied from LG Chem and the packs will support up to 800 kW DC charging.
