Tesla Model Y Performance AWD was announced for the European market with first deliveries scheduled for September. On the German Tesla website, the vehicle is priced at EUR 61990.

This model is underpinned by the Tesla Performance 4DU (drive unit), which also powers the 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance AWD. While the electric motor combo is one and the same, Tesla lists 368 kW (500 hp) for the M3P, which is a bit less if you combine the Tesla-listed specs for each motor - 4D2 with 265kW and 3D3 with 137 kW (according to the Owner's Manual) - a total of 402 kW. At the same time, the Tesla Model Y Performance AWD for Europe is said to deliver 461 kW (618 hp). For the 2025 MYP for Europe, Tesla uses a 4D2 motor on the rear axle with a 303 kW power output, while the front axle mounts a 3D3 motor with 158 kW of power (based on data for the M3P in Europe). The difference in numbers comes from the fact that the Tesla Owner's Manuals for North America and China list the minimum power. The numbers for Europe arrive mainly from reports by owners and are generally higher.

In terms of power supply, the Model Y Performance AWD for Europe uses the new LGES 4680 V2 battery with NCM992 chemistry. It is said to have a usable capacity of 82-84 kWh. The battery capacity information does not come from Tesla; again, these details are based on owner reports for the same-generation vehicles. We will update the Model Y Performance specifications sheet as more data comes in. 250 kW DC charging and 11.5 kW AC charging are supported. The pack should provide a WLTP range of 580 km with a 16.2 kWh/100km electric consumption.

The vehicle has a top speed of 250 km/h and a 0-100 km/h acceleration of 3.5 s. It arrives with 21-inch Arachnid 2.0 rims, multiple driving modes, performance brakes with red calipers, adaptive suspension, and a lower ground clearance of 151 mm. The Tesla Model Y Performance AWD interior has also been upgraded. The main screen now spans a 16-inch diagonal size and offers a higher, 4K UHD resolution. The interior trim features carbon fiber accents, front electrically adjustable, heated, and cooled sports seats with a thigh extension, and a 16-speaker sound system. On the outside, the MYP features a low-down front bumper, a rear bumper with a prominent diffuser, and a carbon-fibre rear wing.

The Model Y Performance underwent testing and calibration at the Nurburgring and will be built at the Tesla Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg in Germany.
