Porsche Cayenne S Electric expands the brand's BEV lineup
11 March 2026, 15:50:44
The new Porsche Cayenne S Electric enters the lineup as a well‑balanced performance SUV, positioned between the standard Cayenne Electric and the high‑end Cayenne Electric Turbo. It delivers stronger acceleration, upgraded design elements, and a wider range of equipment options tailored for drivers who want both everyday comfort and track‑ready capability.
The Cayenne S Electric uses dual permanent‑magnet motors producing 400 kW (544 PS), or up to 490 kW (666 PS) with Launch Control. That translates to a 0–100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds, which is roughly 0–62 mph in the same interval. Top speed reaches 250 km/h, or about 155 mph. Its WLTP driving range reaches up to 653 km, equal to about 406 miles, depending on configuration and driving conditions.
A 113‑kWh high‑voltage battery supports extremely fast charging. Under optimal conditions, the Cayenne S Electric can charge from 10% to 80% in under 16 minutes at a high‑output DC fast‑charging station. Porsche notes that peak charging power can reach up to 400 kW under specific temperature and voltage conditions. For US drivers, this means the vehicle is compatible with the growing network of high‑power chargers, while Chinese customers benefit from expanding ultra‑fast charging infrastructure across major cities.
The exterior receives model‑specific front and rear sections finished in Volcano Grey Metallic, along with body‑color inserts and a diffuser. Standard 20‑inch Cayenne S Aero wheels complete the look. Optional performance upgrades include Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, Porsche Active Ride suspension for improved stability, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, and the Sport Chrono Package. A Push‑to‑Pass feature can temporarily add up to 90 kW (122 PS) of extra power for short bursts of acceleration.
Inside, Porsche introduces a new Interior Style Package available across all Cayenne Electric models. This curated package features a two‑tone Black and Delgada Green leather interior, coordinated stitching, green‑accented trim pieces, and a matching Izabal Green vehicle key. The design extends to the steering wheel, instrument cluster accents, and illuminated door sills, creating a cohesive and modern cabin atmosphere.
The Porsche Cayenne S Electric is now open for ordering in the US, Europe, and China. Pricing varies by market and configuration. In Germany, for example, the price starts at EUR 126,400,00 incl. VAT. In the U.S., the price starts from USD 126,300.
