China new electric vehicles market statistics, BEVs are still going strongAccording to the latest statistical data from the The Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security reported by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), Chinese manufacturers prodiced 113,000 BEVs and 20,000 PHEVs, up by 78% and down by 8.9% on yearly basis, respectively. The sales for the month are as follows: 129,000 BEVs and 22,000 PHEVs, up by 106.7% and 2.2% on yearly basis, respectively. As long as it concerns fuel cell vehicles, in June 508 units were produced and 484 units were sold.

Looking at the whole first half of 2019, a total of 614,000 NEVs were produced and 617,000 were sold, marking an YoY increase by 48.5% and 49.1%, respectively. The NEVs produced include 493,000 BEVs, 119,000 PHEVs and 1,170 fuel cell vehicles. The NEVs sold include 490,000 BEVs, 126,000 PHEVs and 1,102 fuel cell vehicles. As of June 2019, the number of owned NEVs in the country reached 3.44 million, accounting for 1.37% of the total number of vehicles. This is an increase of 1.45 million or 72.85% compared to the same period last year. Owned BEVs account for 81.69% of those 3.44 million new energy vehicles, equalling 2.81 million.Source
