The Lexus TZ arrives: a bold six‑seat BEV redefining luxury travelThe Lexus TZ is an all‑new, all‑electric six‑seat SUV that marks a bold expansion of the brand's electrified future and its evolving design philosophy. The TZ embodies Lexus' "Discover" brand vision and introduces the "Driving Lounge" concept - a cabin experience built around serenity, openness, and refined motion.

The TZ is designed as a premium three‑row BEV that blends quiet, smooth electric performance with a spacious, lounge‑like interior. Lexus positions it as a vehicle for customers who value time, authenticity, and elevated travel experiences. A panoramic roof stretching across all three rows, a minimalist cabin with hidden touch‑responsive controls, and extensive use of sustainable materials - including forged bamboo and recycled aluminium - define the interior's atmosphere. Six adults can sit comfortably thanks to a long wheelbase, low‑mounted battery, and thoughtful packaging that frees up head and leg room even in the third row.

Comfort is a central theme. Heated and ventilated seats are available in all rows, with ottoman‑style leg rests for the first two. Radiant knee‑level heaters, a 21‑speaker Mark Levinson audio system and Lexus' signature quietness further reinforce the lounge‑like ambience. The new "Comfort" drive mode adjusts dynamic systems to minimise body movement, especially for rear passengers.

On the outside, the TZ introduces what Lexus calls "Provocative Simplicity" - a fusion of elegant surfaces, sharp character lines and aerodynamic detailing. With a drag coefficient of 0.27, semi‑flush door handles, sculpted aero wheels and a bold spindle‑body front, the SUV balances presence with efficiency. A new Sonic Tellus paint option adds depth and nuance through Lexus' sonic paint technology.

The TZ runs on Lexus’ latest BEV platform with front and rear eAxles, each producing 167 kW and 268.6 Nm of torque. A 95.8 kWh lithium‑ion battery targets a driving range of up to 530 km, supported by 22 kW AC charging and 150 kW DC fast charging that can bring the battery from 10 to 80 percent in about 35 minutes. DIRECT4 all‑wheel drive, Dynamic Rear Steering and a refined suspension system contribute to confident, stable handling. An optional Interactive Manual Drive mode simulates an eight‑speed transmission for drivers seeking a more engaging experience.

Inside the cockpit, a hood‑less 12.3‑inch driver display and a 14‑inch central screen run on Lexus' new Arene software platform, enabling faster, more intuitive multimedia and connected services. A Smart Digital Key+, cloud‑based navigation, remote functions and enhanced voice control are available through subscription bundles.

Safety is anchored by the latest Lexus Safety System+, with expanded Pre‑Collision System capabilities, upgraded Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Eco Run Mode, and improved Lane Change Assist for smoother highway manoeuvres.
