Avatr 12 debuts at IAA Mobility 2023, will enter production later this week

Changan, CATL, and Huawei have launched their second model - the Avatr 12. The sporty fastback made its European debut at the IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich and will enter production later this week. The vehicle is 5020 mm long, 1999 mm wide, 1460 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 3020 mm. The front and rear tracks measure 1688 mm and 1702 mm, respectively. The front fascia includes an active grill at its lower part rimmed by bi-leveled DRLs and high beams integrated into the front bumper. The vehicle uses 265/45R20 tires for the front and 265/40R21 tires for the rear.

Instead of side mirrors, the vehicle uses cameras. It also lacks a rear window and instead of an interior rearview mirror, drivers will use another camera as well. The front window and the panoramic glass roof form a 2.57 ㎡ windshield. Inside, the front dash is occupied by a huge 35.4-inch 4K screen - the instrument cluster. There are two displays on its sides that project the image from the side cameras. There's a central display with physical buttons below it as well. The wheel has a soft octagonal shape and looks almost oval. Fine Nappa leather seats and innovative materials like sustainable mother-of-pearl wood tailored to your casual luxury lifestyle. Other interior features include a 27-speaker intelligent Avatr sound system, 64-color ambient lighting, and 3 nature-inspired fragrances.

Avatr 12 is based on the CHN platform with EP1 architecture. It is available in two variants:

Avatr 12 RWD - 230 kW / 313 hp; 2180 kg; 90.4 kWh
Avatr 12 4WD - 425 kW / 578 hp; 2300 kg; 116.8 kWh
