Volkswagen will launch three all-electric cars in China in 2019In 2018, Volkswagen Group has registered 10.83 million units of total sales, which means it is once again the global auto market leader. It looks like that the company aims to build upon its momentum and plans to release seven new cars in China alone. According to a recent press release, three of those will be all-electric models - the e-Bora, e-Lavida and the 2019 e-Golf. Here's some basic information about the three models based on leaks on Chinese media. Volkswagen e-Bora is planned for the first half of 2019. Its front fascia is slightly adjusted compared to the gasoline version. The e-Bora logo is added to the left side of the body with a length, width and height of 4671 (4663, 1815, 1473 mm and a wheelbase of 2680 mm. This model will pack a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 136 hp (100 kW) and a peak torque of 290 Nm. Volkswagen e-Golf will be launched in mid-2019. Its length, width and height are 4259, 1799, and 1479 mm, respectively. The wheelbase is 2631 mm. It has the same motor provided on the e-Bora with the same power and torque. The battery pack will have a 35.7 kWh capacity providing a cruising range of around 255 km (the exact rating organization is not specified). Volkswagen e-Lavida is expected in the first half of 2019 like the e-Bora. Its body has the following length, width and height: 4670, 1806, 1474 mm. The wheelbase measures 2680 mm. Its motor will have a rated power of 85 kW and a peak power of 100 kW. The model's top speed will be 150 km/h. The battery's capacity is unknown but a 40 kW DC charging should charge it up to 80% in 40 minutes. Cruising range is said to be 278 km.
