The fully electric MINI Cooper SE Paul Smith Edition blends iconic design with modern performance

MINI has introduced a striking new collaboration with British designer Paul Smith, unveiling the MINI Paul Smith Edition across the entire MINI Cooper family. Blending the brand's iconic aesthetic with Smith's "Classic with a Twist" design philosophy, the special edition brings a playful, optimistic character to both electric and combustion models.

The first to arrive is the fully electric MINI Cooper SE Paul Smith Edition, which delivers 218 hp (160 kW) through its front-wheel-drive setup. The model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, pairing its distinctive styling with locally emission‑free driving.

On the outside, the MINI Cooper SE Paul Smith Edition adopts a Midnight Black finish that gives the 3‑door model a refined, classic presence. Its roof reinterprets Paul Smith's signature stripes in a mix of glossy and matte black, offering a subtle yet unmistakable nod to the designer’s trademark look. The MINI Cooper S Paul Smith Edition introduces a new colour created exclusively for this series -Inspired White - paired with a Nottingham Green roof that adds a bold contrast. The driver’s side roof edge features colourful Paul Smith stripes, turning a functional detail into a standout design moment. All models in the lineup are also available in Statement Grey, an exclusive third exterior option.

Regardless of body colour, Nottingham Green accents unify the series, appearing on the side mirrors, octagonal grille, and wheel hub caps, each carrying Paul Smith lettering. The 18‑inch Night Flash Spoke Black alloy wheels, finished with a tinted Dark Steel clear coat, complete the dynamic exterior.

Inside, the Paul Smith Edition continues its creative storytelling. All variants feature Nightshade Blue seats and black knitted surfaces with subtle striped patterns that evoke British craftsmanship. Opening the door triggers a projected "Hello" greeting, followed by Smith’s message "Every day is a new beginning" on the door sill. The sports steering wheel includes a textile band in Paul Smith’s signature stripes at the 6 o’clock position, while a hand‑drawn illustration of his iconic "rabbit" adds a touch of humour to the floor mats.

The fully electric MINI Cooper SE Paul Smith Edition is already available in select markets. The MINI Cooper, MINI Cooper 5‑door, and MINI Cooper Convertible Paul Smith Edition will follow in Q2 2026, expanding the collaboration across the brand's core lineup.
